This is the Golden Rainbow fig, formerly known as Ben’s Golden Riverside—introduced by Robert and grown from a healthy, established mother tree in Zone 7a. It ripens in late summer and produces very large fruit with a standout honey-strawberry-kiwi flavor. The tree has handled tough winters with little protection and doubled in size from 2 ft to 5 ft between its second and third year. It's a strong grower and heavy producer.
 
Each cutting comes from dormant wood, sterilized and packed with 3 or more nodes. Most are cigar thickness like the ones shown in the photo, with some slightly larger or smaller. If we include a thinner cutting, we usually toss in an extra. All cuttings are shipped wrapped and sealed in parafilm.
 
The original mother tree was propagated from a cutting provided by The1FigMan who is a reputable grower.
